The Trina Mink Philosophy Art is my life. I eat sleep and breathe it. Art is more important to me than money or popularity. It’s not about speed, but it is about accuracy when working in a permanent medium. I am incredibly O.C.D. and meticulous. I suppose that I have fallen into the perfect career as a Tattoo Artist. My O.C.D. is a great gift. I can spot the tiniest imperfections and I am always left with the cleanest tattoos around (So I’ve been told). Growing up, I got in trouble for drawing during class or imagining far off worlds during tests. That never bothered me however; I always knew I was meant to be an artist. Imagination is a very important part of the creative process. Their are many types of visual art. My favorite medium to work in would have to be ink and skin. I also love Prismacolor Pencils for drawing, making Jewelry and Panting. I have been doing tattoos since October of 2006. When doing commission work like tattoos; customer service and satisfaction is very important to me. Considering the client will be wearing the tattoo for the rest of their lifetime, it must be something customized to their personality, and a design they will love and cherish for the rest of their lives. The client is not only a canvas to work on; they must be treated with respect, because they are giving the artist their bodies with faith and trust. Without them we wouldn’t have this amazing medium to work in. Everyone deserves to have a great tattoo- no matter how big or small it my be, no matter how rich or poor a person is, no matter how young or old, etc. I wouldn’t call myself a Religious person, although I am very spiritual. I believe that positivity can make anything possible. I think the thing I love most about tattoos is how much of a spiritual experience it is for everyone involved. My favorite tattoos to do are spiritual ones. Chakras, Nature, Faeries, Pagan and Buddhist Symbols, Animals, Crystals and Stones, Fantasy, and Elemental Imagery are all very fascinating to me. I hope you enjoy my artwork and I welcome your comments. Also, please check out my MySpace page and I am happy to take e-mails, - Trina@TrinaMink.com. |
